ORALITE® 5650RA Fleet Engineer Grade Reflective

Traditional reflective vinyl is notoriously unforgiving—it’s rigid, it tacks instantly, and trapped air bubbles are nearly impossible to remove. ORALITE® 5650RA changes the game. Engineered with ORAFOL’s proprietary RapidAir® micro-channels, trapped air easily escapes beneath the substrate, allowing for smooth, dry application on flat vehicle panels and commercial sign faces.

When struck by headlights or spotlights, the embedded cat-eye optical elements deliver high-intensity, wide-angle retroreflection, ensuring your client’s message is working overtime 24 hours a day.

• Film Type: 5.0 mil Fleet Engineer Grade Retroreflective (Meets ASTM D4956 Type I)

• Adhesive: Grey-pigmented, permanent solvent polyacrylate with RapidAir® (Air-Release)

• Expected Exterior Life: Up to 7 years (Unprinted) / 4–5 Years Printed

• Handling Warning (Bruising): Reflective films are highly susceptible to "handling bruising." Do not fold, kink, or sharply crease panels during pre-masking or transport; stress fractures will show up as permanent dark lines when illuminated at night.

Pre-Press & Color Physics:

• The Translucency Factor: Standard CMYK inks are translucent. When printed onto reflective film, light passes through the ink, hits the silver/white optical beads, and bounces back out. This means bright reds, blues, and yellows will "glow" brilliantly at night. Pure 100% Black ink blocks light entirely and will appear dead-matt/non-reflective in the dark.

• Bleed: Please build 0.125" bleed on all edges.

• Contour Cutting: Supply a 100% Magenta vector spot-color stroke named CutContour set to overprint.
